In addition to The Fool, January brings another piece for Phaedrus Music – Perpetual Movement

January will feature two new pieces for Phaedrus Music. In addition to The Fool, the piece “Perpetual Movement” will be presented. This piece is more classically oriented and features a curious arrangement: Piano, flute, cello, electric bass and synthesizer. Using both cello and electric bass is not straightforward but I believe the result has been very good. The name comes from the fact that the opening and closing sections feature the piano doing an ostinato figure, but the melodies of flute and cello plus the bass figures help to give the impression that the piano is doing different things. For “Perpetual Movement” we have two masters of their respective instruments: Omar Acosta on flue and Miguel Rosell on cello. For those who know Kotebel, Omar needs no introduction. The cello part for the Venus Pentacle in the Omphalos album, was performed by Miguel.

So, January comes packed with music!!
