While doing research as part of the preparation for the analysis of ELP’s Karn Evil 9 (featured classic in the February 2018 issue), I came across some interesting material related to the topic of progressive music and its relation to rock. As you know, I promised a revised version of the article “Is Prog Alive and Well?”. More than a revised version, I’m going to approach this topic from a different perspective, and will take the great feedback and material received from some of you as a starting point.
